The Hardee's® name is well-known – and well loved – by generations of consumers who value quality food, reasonable prices and quick service. Founded by Wilber Hardee in 1960, the first Hardee's® restaurant had customers lining the street for blocks for a taste of Hardee's® delicious charco-broiled burgers. Partnering with two other businessmen of foresight, Hardee formed Hardee's Food Systems, Inc., which opened their first company-owned restaurant in 1961. Hardee's® now owns and operates a system of nearly 2,400 company and franchise-owned quick-service restaurants in 32 states in the US and 11 foreign countries. Now, that says a mouthful!

As a wholly owned subsidiary of CKE Restaurants, Inc., Hardee's® continues to prosper and grow. CKE Restaurants, Inc. is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange as CKR.

Hardee's® is currently revitalizing its brand image and remodeling all its restaurants into “Star Hardee's®.” This marks the return to Hardee's® heritage of charbroiled burgers. Hardee's® continues to lead the industry with breakfast favorites such as Made From Scratch® Biscuits, freshly sliced roast beef, the added value table service and of all-you-can drink beverage bars and brighter restaurants remodeled both inside and out.

We also offer equipment procurement and installation, a volume purchasing program, personnel training and consumer marketing. Hardee's® franchisees can choose from traditional free-standing restaurant floor plans that seat up to 98 customers or a combination restaurant and convenience store that seats 72.
